My cat just typed this in a mad dash over the keyboard. Any idea what it means?

Oh, so that's why it looks like the torso of a samurai...

You didn't, by chance, name your cat Minamoto, did you?

Those smiley things, you have to rotate them 90 degrees clockwise to understand them. In this case it's a Transformer robot on skis.

You don't seriously expect to understand the mind of a cat, do you?

Maybe he was trying for a self-portrait, but just had a couple of typos...

I'm afraid I do. He's saying, "Marc, you're spending too much time at the computer. You should be playing with me."

And he's right, of course.

Um, why not? Isn't it an honorable geeky endeavor?

There is a great book, Animals in Translation, written by Temple Grandin. She is an ubergeek, in that she is a professor at Colorado State University and she is autistic. Her thesis is that her autism brings her much closer to animals and helps her understand them in ways "normal" people can't. Very interesting book, and deeply original. Marc's cat might appreciate it.
