Hi,
Since Tomcat is a webserver it should not support fault tollerance. please correct me if i am wrong and please let me know does tomcat supports fault tollerance? if so, what are the fault tollerance techniques supported by tomcat?
Thanks.

Hi Deepika,

what is "fault tolerance" in you opinion? One obvious thing Tomcat does is session replicating for cluster usage which in turn helps to tolerate failing cluster nodes... Please explain further what you really mean with fault tolerance :-)

Tomcat Clustering/Load Balancing is the technique to accomplish fault tolerance. We can make tomcat clusters using mod_jk connectors and apache web server acting as a load balancer.

In my opinion "fault tolerance" here is a too broad term. This could mean tolerating faults ranging from hardware defects to problems on the application level...
