Hi,
am creating a dynamic textbox with datepicker image.
When I enter new date in the newly created text box,
the date is updating in the previous text box. The newly created textbox is not taking any date. Am just focussing the cursor into newly created textbox.

1. what else should be done to enter newdate in the newly created text box ??
2. And also the previous textbox should be disabled once I come to the next row..

Please help me ...

thanking you
indu

In the future use code tags, I edited your post to include them.

ids are singular so you can not have more than one id on the page repeating. Your code keeps setting the same id.

Indu,
Ids are unique identifiers for the controls within the page. each control is identified with its unique id. since you are using the same id for changing the content, the code is repeatedly modifying the same control. Eric please correct me if i am wrong.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
