I am facing a problem in JSF.

I have a search page A and on doing a search, the user is provided with results each having a hyperlink.

I click the hyper link and go to another page B.

Then I click the back button to come to the search page A and do another search. The JSF instead of displaying page A, takes me to page B.

Why is this so ?

Any insights would be very helpful.

Hi,
You can get the back button functionality working with the help of UIViewRoot.
Store UIViewRoot for page A in a variable and reload it when back button is called and render the response.

Which version of JSF implementation are you using?

if you are using myfaces, its latest release 1.2.6 does not have this problem, you can go back and can click the any link and that should work itself.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
