creating an employee records program

i have a problem i need to create a employee program in GUI link with SQL database that can add, delete sort and retrieve employee from the database, i need to use the linear and binary search method including sorting method. Can any one tell me how to go about this!

Do you know how to write a database? I suggest you start with that. Then get a Java connection running which works to the command line. Then add the GUI. Do it bit by bit; get one piece working properly before even thinking about the next bit.
Do you want the database to do the sorting for you? Databases are good at that.

Since you will be starting with the database, I shall move you to the JDBC forum. When you have that working, then ask the next question.
