This week's book giveaway is in the General Computing forum. We're giving away four copies of Arduino in Action and have Martin Evans, Joshua Noble, and Jordan Hochenbaum on-line! See this thread for details.
Yes, study Java - Write a mail-server and call it HOT!Mail. Begin slow, well-planned world takeover action.
Jut make sure yours works better than the one you are complaining about.
"The differential equations that describe dynamic interactions of power generators are similar to that of the gravitational interplay among celestial bodies, which is chaotic in nature."

I love all the folks who say " can't use linux, you can't get support" and I ask questions such as Mark did. When did you last get any useful support from Microsoft?
I actually got some good tech support from M$ back when NT 3.1 was new.
Actually, the idea of storing email on a free server, like hotmail or gmail is very scary for me. If its important, store it yourself.
And the idea of using one of these services to send/receive sensitive email is even more scary. Google's stated plan for gmail is to read your mail and send you ads based on its content. Not what I want to do with business plans or other sensitive stuff.

I had someone on my TRW for 30 years. Using big, reputable companies is no Choice for the Data-Point, maybe for the Moot-Point. The idea of using one of these services to traffic data is even more scary than marc having to explain it was a joke... Perhaps OP may achieve better results in General Computing forum.
Standard plan for data-traffic is to filter ads based on your data-traffic content. Not what I want to do with life plans or sensitive stuff, such as 'other' category stuff... The paranoic notion of fearing large, centralized databases as a intrusion on self-motivation is almost quaint, in fact well over 80% of population would in fact put SSN's and other keying data in public servers. Given that intrusion in such is under "No expectation of Privacy" we could wonder what if any controls or protections are available where the keying information is assigned for a lifetime.
It is known computer science that changing the keys occasionally is good practice, and that a nine digit control key routinely exposed would be like a cat in a room full of rockers.
