This is a question for the authors

Do we require prior knowledge of Groovy to read this book ?
If yes, what level of proficiency is assumed ?

Hi Vivek,

No knowledge of Groovy is required. In fact, Chapter 2 is dedicated to teaching you the Groovy Essentials from scratch.

I think we gave away a free copy of that Chapter at one stage on the Grails podcast. Check out Grails Podcast Episode 80 and look for the link on "Chapter 2 The Groovy Essentials" to check it out!
