Hi All

Presently I am working for [Company X] as Consultant (L3) for IT Infrastructure remote support project. I am working for last 7 months here. I have been offered to join [Company Y] as Technical Support Professional with Band B6.

I am confused what to do now because:

#1> Although [Company Y] is a very good Brand Name in market, so does [Company X] I hope. I don't know which one is a better employer & offer a better stable career for an employee and doesn't sack employee after a project is over.

#2> If I accept this offer with [Company Y], I need to relocate Chennai from Delhi. And getting an accomodation in Chennai is a challenge cost wise and availability wise as I had experienced few years back.

#3> [Company Y] is offering 10% hike in CTC on what I am getting at [Company X] now.

#4> I don't know what is a B6 BAND? Is it a L3 position or is it higher or a lower level position?

#5> I am thinking about change in job as I used to be a Team Leader earlier in a different company and enjoyed the job. Now I cam down 1 step to L3 Engineer Level in [Company X] and finding it difficult emotionally and professionally to work as normal Engineer under a Team Lead although I had thought that I can tackle this emotional/professional relation while joinning [Company X].

I am thinking a lot because I do not want to make the same mistake once again. Please friends...let me know your suggestions ASAP and help me to figure out the right choice.

Thank you in advance.

Hi

Thank you for the information about message posting on this discussion board. I respect your idea and will follow it.

But why this rule is not applicable for all of the members? In a recent post many companies names have been clearly mentioned. If you accept that why in my case it has been modified?

I am talking about a discussion regarding background verification in this forun.

Thanks

It is applicable to all members. If you see a violation please send a private message to myself or another moderator.

Talking about companies isn't prohibited per se - stating facts (like in that other topic) is OK. But comparing them in terms of opinions, and of which aspect of them is better or worse is what we don't want to happen.
