Is this one of those competitions when the "Islanders" unite and have one UK team, or do they separate and put four teams on the field, Welsh/N.Ireland/Scotland and England?

The UK teams are separate, which this time around means that none of them participate (not sure if combining them would have made a difference).

Seeing that the four semifinalists at the World Cup 2006 were all from Europe, one could be forgiven for thinking that the Euro Cup is the World Cup.

I'm Dutch.
I hate soccer.
Our team just won.

I'm German
Tonight i love the Dutch
They demoralised the Italians in their first match with 3:0
Germany never wins against Italy in international tournaments.
Someone has to kick them out for us
Now we have better chances to win the cup

Were you in the UK, or were you in Britain, or were you in England when this happened?

The Netherlands. We beat Italy hard yesterday!

Actually I don't care about soccer very much. A girlfriend invited me to come watch the game at her house. To my surprise she was very fanatic about it, wearing orange clothes (orange is our national colour), and turning up the volume of the TV really loud.

The Netherlands are the new orange-hot favorite now.
Fantastic victory over France tonight. Now that they have shot the world champion and the vice world champion to pieces, they will make it all the way to the finals.
With the bad performance of the Germans against Croatia i can only dream about a revival of the football classic Netherlands-Germany atm.

I'm a new fan of Luka Modric; so I'm supporting Croatia to do the unthinkable and win the Euro.

Holland, since England are not there

Holland have always had great players, and some of the best now. Hoping this time they will not ruin their chances and keep the team together.

Turkey is in the Quarter Final against Germany. Oh my. It's 1:00am and they are still honking and screaming "Trkyie Trkyie" . Congrats Turkey! But you won't win against Germnany, sorry.

The Netherlands made a mistake when they didn't let Romania win. I predict they have to play Italy again and suffer badly.

Still hoping for a Holland - Germany revival,

Ja ja. I admit it was totally wrong to believe the Dutch were clever and enduring and the Italians any good at all.

Whatever petar means, they won't. We only needed Spain to kick the Italians out. Thanks again.
