I am in a plan to write SCJP in next two months (i.e. in SEP-2009 or OCT-2009).
But recently i heared, Oracle will change the SCJP format by the end of this year.

Do we have any exact information on this?

Thank you

Howdy Greenhorn!

The format is being tweaked. It's best to continue the discussion on this thread here, just so we have everyone's thoughts in one place:

SCJP Plus - Oracle/Sun's New Performance Based Certification

Also, here's a pretty clever blog:

A Sweet Blog About the JAVA Plus SCJP Certification

And here' is Sun's description, althought I wouldn't be surprised if the link is discontinued when the Beta is done:

Sun's SCJP Plus Beta Discussion

Bottom line is that not much is known, and everyone has pretty much the same questions, and nobody has many answers. I think the new exam will be more difficult, so I'd suggest grabbing the current SCJP Cert before it gets retired. Again, when will the current one be retired? Well, nobody is really sure right now.

Again, it's best to continue the discussion on this JavaRanch thread about SCJP+.
