Hello,
I am planning to study basics of IBM Websphere,RAD.
could anyone suggest me a book for that.
All i need is to get skills for developing and deploying applications in websphere.
I need to do this because , any job i am applying for is asking for websphere,RAD.
I have seen in other threads , people are taking certifications for Websphere.
But currently i have started prep for scwcd.so i want to study just that, but at the same time gain knowledge for websphere and RAD.
please give me your suggestions.
thanks in advance.

Priya,
What are you up to now? In particular, do you know Eclipse, EJB, Servlets, JMS, any application server? Please do reply in this thread. I would recommend different learning paths depending on the answers.

Hello Jeanne,
I know JSP and Servlets.
I dont know EJB or Struts.

Never worked with any IDE - eclipse (or) application server -Websphere - WAS.

But tried Servlet demos in BEA- Weblogic. But still not a great knowledge, just basics.

My desired software is JAVA.Thats what i want to work in , so looking for jobs only in that field.

My plan - study HFSJ by using RAD and Websphere , so i can prepare for scwcd and at the same time gain knowledge in RAD , Websphere - hoping to make my resume little more stronger.

any help regarding this is of great use to me, so please guide me.
thanks.

The user interface for RAD is pretty friendly.

Check out my signature links for some tutorials. I put togther some videos on using IRAD. They're on YouTube as well, but the ones on my site are higher resolution.

Just fast forward through the first 20 seconds of my shameless self-promotion, and the tutorials cover all types of 2.x EJBs, Servlets and JSPs.
