This week's book giveaway is in the Java in General forum. We're giving away four copies of Think Java: How to Think Like a Computer Scientist and have Allen B. Downey & Chris Mayfield on-line! See this thread for details.
I have a question on the subject i wrote above i.e. generating pdf, csv file from jsp.
My question is as follows -:
If i want to download the data present in the jsp wile into pdf or csv file;where will my coding will go.
i.e. whether i have to write my code in jsp or in bean.
or i have to create a pdf or workbook object and send it across the network to jsp file.
The result displayed on the jsp is in session in the form of Vector.
Thanks in adavance.

Since you mention CSV, I assume that the data has a tabular or list form. In that case the easiest way is probably to use the displaytag library for displaying the data; once it knows how to access the data in order to create HTML, it can provide PDF, XLS and CSV downloads with no additional coding.
