Problem with notification email system?

Something the notification emial I get does not have my address inb the "to" field, but some other third party. Obviously their adderss in in the clear.

I am concerned that others may be getting my address in the clear as well, and this is not something I want.

That sounds odd indeed. Please forward an example of each of those emails to me so I can take a look. My email address is in my profile page.
