I was sleeping peacefully today morning when someone rang my door bell. I don't like anyone disturbing my sleep. I opened the door and saw a boy around 12 holding TOI newspaper in his hands. I asked "What do you want". He said "I have come here to promote TOI. It is full of colorful pictures. It is just Rs.100 per month". I wanted to blast him right there but decided not to because after all he is just doing the work assigned to him and he can't be blamed for TOI content. I told him nicely - "I read this colorful newspaper everyday. Thanks" and shut the door. To tell you the truth, I don't buy any newspaper I think there must be a dip in TOI sales, that is why they are disturbing others sleep.

100 Rs per month? Times Of India costs 65 Rs/Month. News hawkers try to take advantage of people's ignorance. My hawker always gives me bill of 70 Rs and every time i tell him that it adds upto 65/- Then he says "Everybody in the apartment pays 70" or he would say, "We charge 50 paise per day as delivery charges" And he wont budge. Nonsense.... I have to shell out extra money because rest all are ignorant.

Which city you are in?? I think in Bangalore it is Rs.100-110/- per month for TOI scrape. Just some day back I saw hoarding of DH, that was Rs. 65/- PM. But still I feel, The Hindu or Indian Express is best newspapers.

I think people are buying more bangalore mirror than TOI, so TOI sales might have reduced. It is Deccan chronicle which has montly subscription charges of just 67.00

TOI is not number 1 in hyd, so they reduce rate and trap people. After 2 years it will 100 rs and also be no. 1 in the city. Deccan chronicle is using the same trick in Bangalore. I am not going to fall to their tricks. I will read in office for free.

I purchase Mumbai Mirror and ET daily. Sometime when ET English is not available, I purchase ET Gujarati. I read TOI on Sunday only.

A bill board says 1,00,000 copies of Deccan chronicle sold in 36 days. I purchased it on Sunday and was disappointed. It looks like 1990s newspaper.
