Please Use Code Tags. I've added them just to be able to read it.

Also, please compress your code into a SSCCE - this code is much too long to filter out anything useful.

As for the window closing event, use a WindowListener.

If you are beginning Java, please write your own Layout code, and don't rely on the tools with NetBeans.
If you want a list of teams, set up those teams names as an array (or List) and iterate through the array and set up radio buttons as anonymous objects. That way you can have sensible results if you change the number of teams suggested.
