Hi Friends, I am 5.7 inches tall and my weight is 47 I want to maintain my weight according to my height but I am unable to do it. please tell me how to maintain good shape.If possible please mention what to eat,food timings etc.

Its not 5.7 inches, its 5 feet seven inches 5'7" Hi I am 5'3" and I weigh 54 Kg
I would advise what my doctor advised me.
Try to increase number of meals rather than stuffing more food in those meals. If you were eating 3 times a day till now, try making it 4 times a day. You may insert light snacks during evening hours.
Do not ever skip breakfast. Try to have a heavy breakfast.
Do some exercise, when your body digests more food, it will carve for more food. This way you will automatically eat more and this inturn will build your body. [ September 09, 2008: Message edited by: Nitin Nigam ]
Don`t worry about anything. My only advice is : Have Breakfast like a King
Have Lunch like a man
Have Dinner like a beggar

Not necessarily.But there will be a tendency to become thin incase its heriditary.I think its good.Less weight means less heart problem,ability to quickly catch train/bus and just a part of crowd. Join gym and do some yoga(while watching Ramdev Maharaj doing same on TV channel).Include egg/fruits in your diet.

My parents are thin however I am struggling to loose weight just because of the lifestyle I have lead so far, gaining fat is easy however ,loosing it is quite difficult, just eat more and do things which decrease you metabolic rate.

Yes, but doing it in a healthy way is hard. I've tried to gain a few pounds a number of times. (usually after having a virus and losing those few pounds.) It's easy to gain the weight back by having cake and the like. But I can't bring myself to do that.
I find the tip of eating an extra meal a day helps. Similarly, making one of your meals more calorie dense (but still healthy) helps. Meat/chicken/etc (if you aren't vegetarian) is good for that. Granted meat isn't as health as other things, but it's better than pure junk food.

I guess you all miss one important point and that is digestibility.
Eating extra food can be helpful if you have hunger for it.If you ain't hungry and still eat extra food then it may cause indigestion.I am the best example for it.I want to increase my weight too but my digestibility is not powerful.
Efficacious solution is exercise. It will your increase your digestibility so that you can have more food and hence you may put on some weight.

It depends. Some foods are easier to digest than others of course. And most people can eat 10% more in a day without having trouble digesting.
The eating an extra meal is actually based on digestibility. Eating more in the same meal is harder because the digestive system has more work to do at the same time. Whereas there is more lull time if you eat at 7am, noon, 4pm and 8pm. And the extra "meal" doesn't need to be a full meal. It could be a snack like a bag of peanuts.

You know liposuction is a surgery for fat removal. Have you ever wondered what those doctors do with that fat they have taken out? Use it in a lava lamp? No siree. I am sure all of it is just going waste.
You might want to consider having a contract signed with your nearest doctor to provide you with this fat. If he can take it out, I am sure he can put it in !
