I've used Eclipse with Fedora 8 so I know it works. How did you install it? And which Eclipse distro? (I use 'Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers') What JVM are you using?

Hi Peter,
I know it works,i have downloaded (Eclipse IDE for Java EE developers).I extracted it into an Installation folder and created a launcher for it on the desktop.I am using JDK1.6u14,also installed in the Installation directory,I have also set all the path variables in the .bash_profile file. But still i get this error everytime i start fedora. If i start a brand new work space,i don't see this error.

It has nothing to do with eclipse ide but with workspace settings. I faced the same problem so none of other versions(3.3, 3.4, 3.5..) of eclipse worked. For some reason eclipse messes up some workspace settings. I deleted jdt settings from workspace ./metadata/plugins then it worked.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
