javascript css issue

i am using spring and i am getting the result set as List<Map> and the result set is dynamic i mean it is dynamic number of columns need to be displayed.

i diplayed every thing with div option and used the scroll bar but insde of div for each data i have a component to update the data.

for first and secon column i am freezing using the

top: expression(document.getElementById("tbl-container").scrollTop-2); /* IE5+ only *//*

so it i working but when use the scroll bar the component is getting collapsed with the freezed column

can any one knows abou this please tell me?

That expression will not work in IE8 since Microsoft dropped expression support.

You will probably need to look into using onscroll to get better browser coverage.

Did you set position relative on the element and ALSO the parent element?
