How many leaves do you get in your company. I am giving the details for me below
National Holidays - 10 per year Planned Leaves - 12 per year Unplanned (like sick leave)- 6 per year Leave Without Pay - 30 Days per year Paternity - 5 Days (Per Leave - includes weekends) Compensatory Off - 12 per year (manager's discretion) Hospitalization - 15 Days (Max Per Leave - includes weekends)
I have heard that France has the maximum holidays . They are off nearly 1/3 of the year ?
Man, if I add that all up, that's 90 days! A month is 20 working days, so you could be off for four and a half months a year!! And you are wowing that in France they might be off for 1/3 of the year?!
In The Netherlands, we officially (according to Wikipedia) have only two national holidays (30 April and 5 May), and an additional 7 holidays that almost everybody is free - so that's a total of 9 general holidays.
I currently have 33 vacation days that I can spend whenever I want. I started with 25, and earned the extra days over time, because I'm working at my current employer for more than 10 years. Besides those days we have 2 fixed days that our company is closed.
We don't have a sick leave or hospitalization budget. We don't have leave without pay. I don't know how paternity or maternity leave is done here (I don't have children).
So in total I normally have 9 + 33 + 2 = 44 days off. [ September 24, 2008: Message edited by: Jesper Young ]
National Holidays - 12 per year Planned Leave - 20 per year Unplanned (like sick leave)- 30 per 3 year cycle Leave Without Pay - Negotiable Paternity - None, then again we have 3 days "Family responsibility per year Compensatory Off - None Hospitalization - Falls under sick leave
You can be off sick midweek without a sick note, 2 days max. Good time to get some "Fed up leave or sick and tired leave". [ September 24, 2008: Message edited by: Taariq San ]
