What are we talking about here? Eclipse? NetBeans? JBuilder? Or is it a question about something other than an IDE?

If it's Eclipse, put the cursor on the I and press F3. If you want to know more keyboard shortcuts in Eclipse, go to Window / Preferences, and select General / Keys.

It is eclipse

F3 is useful to find the position where the variable is declared,

but my expectation is I put the cursor in a position where it is declared and wanted to know all position where it is used.

If I highlight a variable name in eclipse this way bookmarks appear on the right of the editor showing me all occurances in the same file. Is this what you want?
