Hi,

I have installed websphere application 7.0, and I would like to redirect pages from http to https. Therefore, user don't need to type https://.

I know one of the solution is to have apache http server installed in front of websphere , and use RewriteEngine to redirect.

Is there a way I can configure the redirect port to be 443 for port 80 in websphere ? so I don't need to install any http server.

Thanks,

Howdy, Greenhorn.

I'm not sure if there is a way to do this from the admin console - basically through a WAS configuration edit. As you say, doing something at the http server, or just doing a redirect from HTML are things that would work, but they're not really the core configuration solution for which you are looking.
