What is the most used products in the market these days in Java Space. After Oracle took over BEA. Is it good to learn Oracle SOA Products or IBM SOA Products. Also the advantage with Oracle products are they are freely available for developers to download and learn but IBM not sure how to get the access to learn them other then the job.

Thanks,
Rahul

I am currently using Oracle's SOA products. You can look at Oracle Service Bus. There should be an education version. This is a decent product.

Also, looked at their BPM product. Not too happy with it. You can pick any product to learn SOA. Once you understand the SOA fundamentals, you can

get upto speed quickly in another product. If you understand XML, XSD, WSDL, XQuery, XPath, Web Services and JMS, then learning to use a product should not be too hard.

That's a merely true, Invest on learning specifications, not implementations.
