Will STRUTS become servlet API in servlet specification 2.4 or later?

Someone told me that STRUTS will in standard servlet API. Can anyone confirm?

That is news to me. There is nothing referencing that on the Struts main page.

I met a Java Architect from Sun yesterday and he seems mentioned that. I have to ask him next time.

Maybe you're referring to the Java Faces JSR that is in progress?

I kind of hope not...
Dunno. I'm a big fan of MVC and to a lesser degree I'm a fan of Struts, but making Struts the defacto architecture for web apps in J2EE? Can't say I like the idea.

Wierder things have happened. Take the JSTL standard taglib library. I'd never use that again after wasting a week struggling to cope with it. It's essentially impossible to debug any complex expression.
But there it is, a standard that is slowly rolling out. Me, I use velocity now
