Swing, JSF book recommendation

Hello,
since there is no hf Swing or hf JSF can you recommend me some good books on Swing and JSF that assume no prior knowledge on these subjects?
For Swing I am hesitating between The JFC Swing Tutorial: A Guide to Constructing GUIs (2nd Edition) and Swing: A Beginner's Guide. As for JSF, the only one that comes to my mind is Core JavaServer Faces by David Geary (current edition is 2, the 3rd edition out on December is probably about JSF 2).

Thanks.
