How do you want to apply your knowledge. You can go for SCJD if you want. Online you can take freelancing projects but I don't know your skill level so can't say if you can go for that or not...

I have written a lot of assignments and projects using Swing,AWT,IO,JDBC(insert, delete, update, selete) etc... I have learnt a lot of APIs in that packages.

What do you want to achieve by applying your knowledge?? Do you just want to be an expert at what you know or want to earn some money from what you know right now??

Hmmm if you have done a project before, just improve it using java. Also think of a problem statement and develop the application.

Yewint, you may want to read a few advanced books on Java. That will also help you improve your skills and coding style. You can look here for some advanced books. You can also find a list of books on various topics here. I usually like to read books to gain deep insight on topics. You can practice with the examples and questions in the books...
