hi there ,

I just wanna ask if is it possible to use 3rd party software in a java program?

example, i have a scanner and a scanner software and I wanna use it in my program.

So, if i run my program and (let's say i have a button) click the button, it would launch the

scanner application and i will be able to use the scanner. Isn't it like a link?

thanks a lot for the help ...

You will have to write a desktop client which will listen to a port for instructions.
Just send the instructions to that port using any type of connection and your client will execute the instructions as you wanted to.
