Greetings.

The first 7 chapters of the latest version can be found here ---> http://mindview.net/Books/TIJ4

The complete text of an older edition can be found here http://www.codeguru.com/java/tij/tij_c.shtml

I was wondering if anyone familiar with the book can speak to the currency of the material at the codeguru site. Is it kept up to date? I can't tell for sure, but it appears not. Also, from what I can gather about the book, it seems to place a lot of emphasis on discussions the philosophy of java and OOD, in which case the apparent 10 year age of the material might not be a big drawback?

edit: never mind my question for now, I have found what appears to be more recent online material than the codeguru version here ---> http://www.mindviewinc.com/Books/

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
