Hi,
I am facing problems while launching an application using browser (IE and Mozilla).
On clicking the link the entire jnlp file content gets displayed....
The same works fine while launching from command prompt and java cache viewer.

Perhaps your server hasn't been configured to send the correct MIME type for JNLP documents.

Thanks

There was no entry for jnlp in the mime.type file. I made an entry in it:
application/x-java-jnlp-file JNLP , now it works fine.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
