scjp1. 6 exam

Hi all,
I want to share my views here.Actually I'm preparing for scjp1.6 exam.I studied twise that K&B but still im not getting getting good score in the master exam which are contained in the CD.How many marks I should score in the master exam for taking the real exam without any fear?I am giving the exam within 10 days.
what is the correct preparation method and what should I follow?
please give me the correct guidance...

jayalakshmi first of all what was your score on Master Exam?? Second, if you give the same mock exam again and again, then you might get an artificially high score as you already know most of the answers. Usually a score in the range of 70-80% on the master exam is enough. You can also try inquisition and examlab. The main thing that's important is that you know all the concepts well. Mock exams prepare you by giving you enough practice with the traps and gotchas that you'll face in the real exam. So try as many mock exams as you can. You can find a list of free and commercial mock exams here...

Havent given the master exams yet, but am barely passing the ExamLabs. Hoping the real exam will be easier

The master exam is a pretty good scale of where you stand. Take the master exam 3-4 days before the exam date and judge for yourself on what your weak areas are.

Murtuza you are atleast passing the Examlab. My highest score was in the final exam and that too it was 62%. Well Examlab is tougher than the real exams but masterexam is good too. The only difference in masterexam and examlab is that masterexam doesn't give the number of options to choose in multi choice questions. This is a strategy to toughen the exam taker. Also no need to be scared on the scores but really speaking you should jot down the points from the explanation and read those points when you sleep or just as a 2 minute drill. Lastly, be confident and these exams are just there to toughen you up.

I studied K&B once and just took Examlab exam 3 right now and got a score 16%. I am so sad because I wanted to get my exam next month but I guess I have a lot of work still to do.

1)don't do the same exam again and again.....

2)make sure that ou covered all the chapters...

3)don't miss exam labs simulator...... i took all the 5 exams in it and got an average score of 68%

4) i did only one master exam given in the CD......

5)don't be tensed, be cool and write the exam....

Will you tell me?Is that enough taking the mock exams which are in SCJP FAQ?

And Idont understand the output of the two questions which are in the scjp1.6 book in the chapter 6.The question numbers: 13 and 15 which are in the self test

It would have been helpful if you wrote the question here. Well in 13th question the formatter number is truncated because of the maximumfractiondigit setting. The original value is 987.123456(as 6 greated than 5 so 1 is added to the number before it) >--> truncated to 987.12346 F ang G are understood i suppose

15th question nextInt writes only integer values but "a" is not an Integer so 1 and 2 is printed and then an exception is printed.
