This week's book giveaway is in the Agile and other Processes forum. We're giving away four copies of The Mikado Method and have Ola Ellnestam and Daniel Brolund on-line! See this thread for details.
I need a little direction while preparing for SCJP... I have read Kathy Sierra and Bates book almost twice. However, before starting i was fairly new to the JAVA language, and had referred JAVA complete reference before starting Kathy Sierra and Bates book.
Conceptually i consider my self fairly strong in JAVA, however, its difficult to remember every single detail, considering i am not a JAVA programmer right now... and have to go back occasionally to the pages for a section while preparing for this exam...
I am at a stage now, where i need to give the exam latest by October first week... I would appreciate any kind of help that you might have to offer to take it off from here.. I am regular on this forum, its a great place to be for a beginner or an expert in JAVA!
What i am looking for is that after reading the kathy book (twice), should it be a good practice to skim through all the sections once before starting the mock tests...( considering i am fairly low on direction right now, a disastrous score is the last thing i am looking for )
I am currently reading up the last few pages in the book...So, please! share any kind of experiences/methods of preparation which you might think will be useful...any effective ways which would help to revise the topics ???
I have the CD from the kathy seirra book on mock test and i plan on doing the Exam Lab by Devaka...Are there any other mock tests/Questions which could be helpful!!! ???
I really want to get a good score and i have been preparing since a considerable amount of time(with work)...
I look for posts where ppl share their experiences after they give their exams! Thanks to them! I would be really appreciate for any form of advice!!
Take time to choose correct forum. This is Sun Certification Results forum there is another dedicated SCJP Exam forum place your question to that forum.
In fact, I did take the time to post it on the SCJP certification forum initially .. however, lost the session and had to re-login in order to post this topic... i guess there was a mess up there.. Thanks for noticing anyway...
