Hey,
I' going to buy a new cell phone, which one do you suggest:
HTC Hero of Palm Pre?
While Andoid looks promising and Google behind it but it seems to me it fails to take off as expected, maybe I'm wrong please enlight me.

Do you have any stories to share ragarding Hero and Pre?
Thanks.

You could go for N97. Symbian really rocks.

As always, what do you want to do with it?

Do you want a phone that you can talk on?

Or a pocket computer that connects magically to the Internet?

A lot of the cool "smart phones" are very cool computers and fairly crappy telephones. I personally care a bunch about audio quality during voice calls, I have dozens of computers in my house.

I wasn't even counting the embedded computers in my microwave, washer, etc. I mean literal PC or laptop computers.

I also have a SlimDevices "Controller" which is a remote control for my music, but it has a fast processor, lots of memory, a color screen, built in WiFi, and most of Linix including a SSH daemon.

From my folding at home report:

Active processors (within 50 days) 15
Active processors (within 7 days) 6

These are all running Windows or Linux, each has at least a GB of RAM and hundreds of GB of disk.
