Learn Web Services

I have spent some time and gone through several online Web Services tutorials. They provide simple functionalities; such as add(), subtract(), sendMessage().

I think that I am ready to take the next step. I have seen a free download book that requires using the NetBeans to learn Web Services. However, I use the Eclipse at work.

I would appreciate your suggestions and guidance. What should I read and are there a little more complicated examples that I can follow to practise. Thank you.

Have you seen the tutorials at
There are a lot of them, ranging from simple web service introduction tutorials to SOA programming tutorials.
Also take a look at the following page:

I cannot use the NetBeans IDE to learn the WebServices because 1. I have never used the NetBeans; and 2. I have always used the Eclipse at work. If the Web Services is ever required at work, the IDE will be the Eclipse.

Any suggestion of some books/tutorials to practise at this stage? Thank you.
