Hi, In java APIs, several methods have been deprecating which no longer seems safe, secure and reflects bad coding practise. Method those are deprecated in JDK 1.1 does also exists in later version of 1.4 JDK. What i belive that deprecated methods do no longer exist in later release versions of JDK. but i found it do. Kindly clarify me whether such deprecated method really removed from later version of JDK or do they exist???.

Sun does not remove these methods because it will break older applications that still use them.

You will see though that other libraries, like those in Apache Commons do remove these methods. The deprecation message says something like "this method will be removed in version xxx". This allows programmers to stick to the older version. That's not something you can do with the core API though, as it automatically gets updated each time you update your JRE.
