I passed SCJP 1.6 with 88% score.

My preparation material included SCJP book by Kathie Serra and Bert Bates and Thinking in Java by Bruce Eckel.

I read SCJP book by Serra-Bates twice and TIJ once but SCJP book is sufficient for exam preparation. For beginners suggest they go through good reference book such as TIJ or Head First Java. MasterExam along with SCJP book is good and yes coding the examples provided in the book helps.

My last two days - Studied Two Minute drill, exam watch tips and solve all questions in the SCJP book and one masterexam.
