Hello Ranchers,

I have to make a module wherein requirement is to generate or write multi langauge characters on windows platform. I have read in Head First Java that Java supports unicode (UTF-8 or UTF-16) that enable to write multi langauage character, let say can generate chinese language symbol, hindi langauage symbol.

But i have no idea how to start with this , no idea to start from where.
What else do we require to implement these unicode.

Please suggest how to proceed and what are the things required to build this application.

Thanks,
Manish

Write where? File? Console? TextArea? HTML?

Hi,

Means I have to present some JSP pages to the end user so that he/she can type on his native language and then to save those input into database and later on can show up that data to the user.

When you say "write" it is usually thought that the application is going to generate the data.
Your requirement is for your JSP to display the data. In future, please us proper terminology so as to avoid confusion.

We have a forum dedicated to JSP.
Moving.

Hi Maneesh,

The requirement is of both type, means core java application will generate the unicode and JSP for presentation.

So, please suggest me how to proceed with this.

Thanks.

Hi Maneesh,

The JSP part comes later and my primary requirement is to develop a core java application that will generate the unicode.
So, please suggest me how to proceed with this.
