Hi

Please find below our application flow.

Oracle(8i)------->shellscript------------>Java stan alone application(java1.2)---------->consume dot net web service

Our work flow is oracle receiving some orders then pass one order information at a time and consume web service for that order and receive input backwords from dot net till Oracle and continue for next order.

We have developed a stand alone application with one of the classes having main method to consume web service. We also have link to another application that logs the data.

Below is the code to log the data:

This is the part of main method that is getting called for each order from shell script which further uses the log method int he logging application to log the information.

We would like to avoid reading the property file each and every order to initialize logging application.

So please help me how to keep logging applicationrunning always so that to avoid the funtion initalize being called for every order.

Also let me know if there is any other option other than keeping this application running always or the current code is enough for the situation.

We usually receive some 10 to 20 orders for every 10 to 20 minutes.
