Mapping.getInput() always returns null

Hi,
I'm using the struts framework for my web site.
If my business logic returns an error I add teh error to ActionErrors and then

 return (new ActionForward(mapping.getInput())); 

The problem is that my mapping.getInput is always null.
What am I doing wrong?

the value returned by getInput is usually set in the struts-config:
<action path="..." input="inputform.jsp">
you can also set the value programmatically using Mapping.setInput()
