POSTing to an Internet URL in a Struts Form

Hi,
As far as I can deduce, Struts provides/needs a Form Action to be a relative URL. I have a situation where I want to send the information (after some pre-processing) to a live Internet URL.
What's the best way to do it in Struts? I do not wish to put the 'action="http://x.y.z"' in the Form because then I won't be able to use the pre-processing of the form etc features (and I guess I will be violating the MVC pattern).
Please advise, anyone?
thanks.
