html:errors shows blank when error not in properties file

Hi,
I wonder if anyone knows if there is a away of the tag html:errors displaying the error message even if the code code isn't in the properties file.
For example you get some usefull error messages from the datadase and rather than trying to put every one in the properties file, I'd rather it just printed error message out as added to the ActionErrors object.
Does anyone know if this can be done.... as it does go against internationalisation
thanks
Jag
