when I joined the cattle drive in early summer this year there have been more than 20 students around and posting at the assignment log; the number is getting smaller and smaller, lately; does this mean that there are many students doing assignments but don't post (anymore), or does this mean that many students have given up? As someone who's taken several extended breaks, I can say it can be hard to get back into the saddle. But well worth it, of course! It was so exciting getting my first nitpick in months the other day. You know the feeling -- that exquisite torture when you go to open the email from the nitpicker: will it contain the instructor's solution or more nitpicks?
I've slipped onto the inactive list because I'm taking a course for a few months. Had to put off JDBC until April but I'm determined to pick it up again then. Pauline *aiming for the record: longest stretch getting through the Cattle Drive*

very true! i have been on an extended break since the summer... this semester is killing me! i need one more assignment to finish Servlets, and then it is on to JDBC. 2 more weeks until final exams... so i will be back in the saddle before Christmas!
