Hello,

I must generate A PDF file from data from DB.
I'm thinking to use FOP or IText.

What is the best option in your opinion ?
I have already used FOP ....

FOP is good if the data is in XML format already; if it isn't, its value is somewhat diminished. Plus, you need to become accomplished in XSL-FO.

iText is API-based, and can handle everything you throw at it, but you need to write more code to do that.

iReport is the most popular visual reporting tool for JasperReports (Java reporting library) and JasperServer (reporting server). You can manage charts, images, subreports, etc. Data sources: JDBC, TableModels, JavaBeans, XML, Hibernate, CSV etc. Output

You can design the chart pdf csv using designer and pass xml or java.util.map in the java to build chart or pdf
