ExamLab SCJP 5 by Devaka cooray

Hi There,

I have installed the simulator in windows xp. The diagnostic Exam, Practice exams 1,2,3 links are not working. The only link that is working for me is Final exam link.

What is your screen resolution ?

Sorry I totally forgot this. If you are using the correct screen resolution, it should work. Mmmm, I'll check this with the next update.

Try running the program as adminstrator.

I had some problem when run as normal user but when i run as admin it runs fine.

Right click the executable file and select "Run as administrator"

it may help you.

Thanks for helping me out. I have uninstalled completely and reinstalled.
checked it running as administrator and fixed the resolution.

Still the same problem

Which operating system are you using. I couldn't find any compatibility list on the official site. If you are running Vista, then you can try to run it in XP compatibility mode...

it works in VISTA.

I am using VISTA and taking test on it regularly.

There should be some problem with your PC.

Try downloading from different location and install it as administrator.

It didn't work in Vista, for me. Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1.

ExamLab uses Microsoft Jet driver which in turn does something naughty with windows regsitry, system dll files etc.

When i tried to install it in VISTA

I was getting write error that the installation could not copy the files into System32 folder.

So i ran it as Administrator and installed it successfully and ran the application as Admin.

Even i am using Vista Home Premium but i am not sure about the version of my Service pack.

So I was getting the same problem when I installed ExamLabs. The bottom buttons just would not show up even when my laptop was set to 1024x768. After much toying around with re-installing and running as administrator, I noticed one thing. I was using Large Fonts in Windows. When I set to Normal Size Fonts and restarted Windows. I reinstalled and now the ExamLabs program runs nicely now. Hopefully this helps others who are experiencing this issue with Windows XP and Examlabs.

Followup: It is definitely the Font Size that was causing this problem. I do not have to run as Administrator either.

it works fine i am using XP professional.
i didn't get any problem.

Understandable, because most people would have Windows using Normal Sized fonts.
I wanted the Windows font slightly larger and never had to change it back to Normal until now.
