I get warnings like this whenever I restart my Tomcat 6 server. It has issues with the files under axis2/WEB-INF/modules, axis2/WEB-INF/services, and axis2/WEB-INF/lib. Any ideas how I can get rid of these errors?

Just check if you have permissions to Temp folder. This problem may also happen if there is no space in primary drive.

I am getting a similar error.

WARN util.Utils:650 Exception extracting jars into temporary directory : java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Tomcat5.5\temp\_axis2\axis232336axis2-1.3jar (The system cannot find the file specified) : switching to alternate class loading mechanism

The error repeats every so often. Moreover, I am seeing a new axisNNNNNNaxis2-13.jar file being created every couple of seconds. The web applications within Tomcat are still working, but still, this is not a good situation.

Any ideas?

Just check if you have accidentally deleted the temp folder in tomcat home directory. If it's there, and still you're getting errors, check if you have access permissions. Axis2 uses this folder when the tomcat starts and if its not accessible to axis, its gives out these warnings.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
