Hi,

I am planning to take SCJP 6 certification. I want to know which book I should pick up to refresh basic concepts of Java. (Java 2 complete reference 5th edition or Java complete reference 7th edition). I had worked with Java few years back. Kindly let me know.

Thanks,
Priya

I think there are so many online resources are there for the exam.

Go with that ....and for this exam you need more than "complete reference" series..for book you can go for "Khalid Mughal"...a good book.

Welcome to the Ranch

Have a look at our book review pages; unfortunately I couldn't find either of your books in there. You might get other ideas. Remember books are only useful if you actually read them; a book whose style you don't like is simply a large doorstop. See if you can see extracts from books before buying, and whether you can cope with their style first.

Then post reviews of the books yourself.
