SOA / EAI Architect (Perm Position) (Marietta, GA)

Thompson Technologies is in search of highly talented SOA / EAI Architect for our client, a global manufacturing and technology company. This is a full-time / permanent opening located in Marietta / Atlanta, GA.



Responsibilities:

Assessment of current technologies, product development and designs.
Creation of an integrated, multi- year technical roadmaps to meet customer needs.
Migration plans for existing technologies, applications and platforms (grandfathering, sunset, end of life).
Definition and development of integration design patterns and standards.
Definition and design of application development patterns and standards in support of MVC (model view control) based on a J2EE platform.
Definition and design of middleware technologies that encompass: presentation, security, business logic, data warehousing and business intelligence architectures.
Communication of detailed investment models that enable the selection, piloting and implementation of the intelligent enterprise architecture.
Ability to identify key roles and individuals in the organization to introduce architectural patterns, designs and thinking into the development process.
Work with Product Marketing and Product Engineering teams to define technologies, solutions and architectures to meet current and future customer demand.
Background in application development, using middleware technologies to build out composite enterprise solutions for major customers.
Working knowledge of software development methods and processes including CMMI and Agile development practices.
Provides work direction to other architects, product engineers and developers.

Requirements:



Must have extensive J2EE knowledge including hands-on experience in OOA&D, UML, and Design Patterns
Demonstrated experience designing and overseeing the implementation of an SOA-based architecture as an applications architect.
Experience using technologies such as BEA AquaLogic / WebLogic.
Technical Requirements also include:
o BMPL, BPEL, XML and JMS technologies

o Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)

o SOA suite 10g Oracle application and technology adapters

o Oracle Application Server 10 / Oracle 10g Database



Able to present integrated multi-year integrated integration architectures (functional, applications, middleware and infrastructure).
Experience in product development and not standard I/T systems development.
Systems development and implementation experience: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support
Stellar employment history.
Ability to manage multiple technical projects and initiatives.
Conduct technical reviews and recommendations to executives and senior management.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master of Science in Computer Science or Software Engineering / Development preferred.
