Going out Networking and need help

Tonight is my 20yr school reunion and I think we're supposed to 'network'.
The group includes a prominent Federal politician, numerous business people and then there's this IT guy that can't even be bothered working and raises his kids while writing code at home.

I gather that it is somehow related to computer networking and yet not. How do we interface? What is the protocol? I haven't been able to find mention in any specification. Is there even an RFC that can be referenced?

I'm glad you asked this question. There are, in fact, numerous useful protocols you could apply. If you're the web kind of guy, then HTCPCP may be for you. But if your style is more of a "free as a bird", then avian carriers may do the trick. There are even extensions that provide QoS on top of that if you feel like one-upping some random politician or lawyer. I'm sure it'll work out.
