Hi

please tell me how to do the following

send sms from mobile
get the sms from mobile to pc using usb
get this message to an application running in pc
return a msg from pc to mobile in the same way
display it in the inbox


Are there API's to do this?
i could find many API's for building application on mobile . but there is no help for accessing an app of pc from mobile.please help me.

I don't think it's possible to send an SMS through USB - it'll go through the wireless network.

Will this mobile device always be connected to the PC through USB? If so, could serial communication over USB be used for the data transfer?

Hi thanks a lot for the reply. What other ways can i communicate from/to pc / mobile device?
my requirement
1) send message from mobile to pc
2) take dis message as input to my application running on pc
3) get a response from the application
4)show this on my mobile device

Unless you can find a way for the PC to receive an actual SMS from the phone, the likeliest is that the solution will involve USB. The JavaIoFaq links to an article on Java und USB; that may be a good start.
