Well thank you, I actually tried it. But couldn't find any example where I could use beans for my report. Thats the only reason I stepped into this forum
for creating reports using ireport, you need to send in an arraylist<Object> with parameters and object-lists and call the buildReport() of the ireport API.

Ok now I'm trying to work with ireport with EJBQL.
I'm unable to make the connection. I keep getting their basic error.After going through jasper forums I added hibernate jars and now when i click on test button noting happens. can you please help me
