Hi!

I have created a plugin that calls an Ant script and now I want the output from Ant to show up in the Eclipse console (not in a log file). Does anybody know how to do this?

Any input is appreciated!

Hi there and welcome to Javaranch!

I'm not sure what you mean here, if you run ANT from within Eclipse the output will go to stdout/stderr which is displayed on the Eclipse console..

I agree; I get all Ant output in a console window. Sometimes I have to switch to it, especially if other output causes a different console window to become active (this is configurable behavior).

Well, the thing is that I am developing my own plugin which calls an Ant Script. When a user right-clicks on a project in Eclipse there will be an option called "Build" which will call a specific Ant script that builds the project.

So I am not using the regular Ant plugin, I have created my own plugin. And the problem is that I can't direct the output from the Ant runner to the console in Eclipse.

Thanks again for any input!
