SCJP6 Preparation Notes

Dear All,

As i am currently preparing for SCJP 6. I am following the book K & B and sun online tutorials. Along the side,
i am compiling quick review notes for all exam objectives. I suppose they will be helpful for all those people,
who have already finished K&B once and just want to review or revise quickly. I am compiling these notes as i
am going through the exam objectives and they will be made available soon and i will keep updating them as well.
Just a thought to share with all my fellow ranchers.

Cheers,

Hello,

Thanks guys. Well i have uploaded chapter 1 notes, still they are not compiled in a well format. I have just
copied from my other word document to this one. Just because, i am being very busy and not finding enough
time to study even. Anyhow by end of this week, we will be getting atleast chapter 1-8 in a well formatted manner.

Thanks for Patience,

Dear Rajeev/Muneeswaran/Striver,

Thank you guys for boasting my moral up. Now i will compile them more quickly and hopefully eight chapters will be uploaded by Saturday.
I am planning to make a pdf version of it as word version seems ugly.

Hopefully we all will be SCJP Certified in 2-3 weeks span.

Good luck guys,

Dear Ausan,

At my side, notes are complete, but compiling them in proper format is time consuming and i hardly find much time.
Anyhow, trying harder.

I think so, moderators can lock this thread because it has gotten really big. I will start a new one.

I would request you if can just upload all the chapters with the pdf format.

Dear Dimple,

Yes i am uploading one by one and this time, it will be in PDF format.

For generics, if you click on my notes link, there i have put a link for GenericsFaq tutorial by angelika and it's awesome.
For threads, i will suggest revisit Threads chapter from HFJ and then come back and you will find the chapter in K&B a bit
more appealing. File IO, i will suggest code a few more examples. Exactly where you are finding problems in IO?

Hi Prithivi

Before you suggested me to practice the codes of I/O files i had done with it. So by coding i am able to understand it.

lets see i ll just go through for generics and discuss if any problems.

And hey thanks for the reply and i follow the way you suggested.

I am suppose to give exam by June.

Hey Rajeev,

I am in a big disaster. I fell and some office deadlines, so didn't see SCJP at all and my voucher is expiring this month.
So i am stuck now what to do, have to re-go through the book as well.

Any advices,

Don't worry man, you should be good. Re read the book, 2 min drills, cram the API's, do some mock exams again and you should be back to track. You still have 2-3 weeks left, which gives to more than enough time to re collect the stuff Go through your notes again, I am sure you will come with flying colors!!

Hopefully some thing will come out as a miracle. Good to see you around on ranch.

What about you? What are you preparing for nowadays?

wow!! that's great man!!! i am also preparing for SCWCD. Finding preparation time with a full time job is very tough My weak point is memorizing the API's. Coding is no problem here, but memorizing 1000 things is taking time!! All the best again friend and take it easy!!!

Yea coding is no problem. Thats there.

Are you done with SCWCD K&B book? I have just started it. I plan to sit for SCWCD on 29th most likely but totally unsure
that will i be able to prepare for both exams together. But i dont want to waste the voucher, just want to try my luck who
knows i will get SCWCD as a cherry over ice-cream(SCJP) on top.

Hello Guys,

Chapter 9 of threads from K&B has been updated with some reference points from HFJ.
They are kind of random notes so do bear with them and do read them and point out the mistakes,
as i am near to my exam so just cramming things up.

Hope this is helpful.

Best Regards,
